<p>Conversational hypnosis is a little different from conventional hypnosis and is useful with persuasion techniques through the theories of neuro linguistic programming. I will attempt to give a brief overview in this article and then recommend a higher accredited source that you can gain education from.</p>
<p>CONVENTIONAL HYPNOSIS</p>
<p>Conventional hypnosis uses a monitored environment that gives total control to the hypnotizer. A “hypnotic induction” is then used to put the participant in a state of suggestibility. Now a hypnotic induction is something that you have seen in all the cliché movies and cartoons where a watch is swung in front of someone and then they are told to relax. This has a “whisker” of truth to it because generally an induction will involve the hypnotizer giving the participant instructions to relax their body, mind and proceed to then take them to a memory or scenario of suggestibility. This is simply an example and there are many different techniques.</p>
<p>CONVERSATIONAL HYPNOSIS</p>
<p>Conversational hypnosis is what it sounds like, it is the art of being able to have a conversation with someone and put them into a suggestive state. This basically uses the theories of neuro linguistic programming, which are about how we are programmed to react to certain words and using these reactions and specific words to give the hypnotizer a way to put the participant into a suggestive state. So this kind of hypnosis is very powerful because it allows the hypnotizer to use these techniques in any environment such as job interviews, public speaking, business meetings and even sports coaching. A good example is when you are at a motivational seminar and the presenter uses words and phrases as “wealth”, “freedom”, “happiness” with examples of walking on the beach with a loved one. You generally walk out of these seminars in a motivational and positive state along with everyone else. This is a very basic example but hopefully it helps to explain this theory.</p>

<p>Successful hypnosis depends on a variety of things, but probably the single most important among them is rapport.  To support a good relationship between hypnotist and subject, wide rapport must be established.  Rapport isn&#8217;t something that happens exclusively in hypnosis; every time you come into conversational contact with someone, rapport is established on some level.  The type of rapport you develop with subjects is the key to conducting successful conversational hypnosis.</p>
<p>Rapport is strengthened any time a person around you experiences a trance.  They will inevitably connect with you and your mind.  This creates a deeper sense of trust between subject and hypnotists, which allows for more successful hypnosis.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve ever met someone you have a hard time connecting with, rapport is responsible.  You may find yourself having the same conversations multiple times because of a sense of distrust and an inability to be comfortable with each other.  This shuts down thoughts and ideas, both subconscious and conscious, and eliminates any chance of successful hypnosis.</p>
<p>This is why it is so important to establish good rapport from the start by tuning in to the subject&#8217;s interests and finding topics you can connect over.  Tell stories, share experiences, and be very sure to listen.  Only by acutely paying attention to what your subject says and getting a feel for their personality can you establish good rapport.</p>
<p>If you take the initial steps necessary to establish good rapport, all your hypnosis attempts will be more successful.  Hypnosis is not something that can be launched into; this usually results in failure, or the hypnotist just looking foolish.  Work on rapport first and foremost, and you will not find your subjects turning away from you.  Rather, they will be more receptive to you and more likely to enter a trance.</p>

If you have an idea you&#8217;d like to pitch, use the word &#8220;amazing&#8221; in one or two of your sentences. Say &#8220;I have an amazing proposal for you&#8221; or &#8220;Product X is pretty amazing.&#8221; </p>
<p>By using the same word your boss uses to describe top-of-the-line products or really good stuff, you are making him associate your pitch with the things he really finds well&#8230; amazing. <br /><strong><br />NLP Persuasion Technique # 3: Use Their Name.</strong></p>
<p>Another powerful method involves using a person&#8217;s name during a conversation. Names have an incredible power over people. Using a person&#8217;s name automatically forms some sort of connection between you and the said person. </p>
<p>For example, you want to ask your co-worker to help you bring up a few boxes of files from the storage room. Instead of just saying, &#8220;Hey, can you help me bring up a few boxes from the storage room?&#8221; you can say, &#8220;Brandon, can you help me bring up a few boxes from the storage room? Thanks, Brandon! I really appreciate your help.&#8221;</p>
<p>NLP persuasion techniques do not need to shout in order to be effective. Therein lies the beauty of this power. It&#8217;s simple and it works!</p>

This sounds absurd at first because YOU didn&#8217;t get you here, your horrible job that pays nothing got you here or your lack of education or just plain bad luck.</p>
<p>To understand how YOU got you here, go through your thoughts in the past twenty-four hours. What have you been thinking about? Maybe you can&#8217;t remember because you&#8217;ve been busy screaming at the kids or trying to figure out how to get another hundred dollars on your paycheck. Whatever your thoughts have been about the past twenty-four hours, chances are good that most of those thoughts were negative. Think about THAT.</p>
<p>2) Once you buy into the fact that how you think has been responsible for where you are now, the second step in succeeding with self-hypnosis is being willing to change how you think. This can be really tough. It takes a true desire and discipline.</p>
<p>3) To change your life, you have to change YOU. Are nasty, rude people the kind that you want to be around? or do business with? or do anything else with? I&#8217;m guessing the answer is that you do not or at least not all the time. Who do you like? Generally, we like happy, cheerful, successful and rather forceful people the best. So step number three is acknowledging that maybe you have not been the most pleasant person to be around. Or maybe you are just the opposite &#8212; a milk toast &#8212; people walk all over you all the time. These are not very happy people either and certainly not people that are very successful in life. It seems they always have a sad story to tell. </p>
<p>4) Step four is the hard part &#8212; doing something about it. This is where we finally get into self hypnosis. Self hypnosis is training yourself to think in a new way and is not much more than targeted and directed meditation. Scripts are a big part of self hypnosis. For virtually every self-improvement plan, affirmations or scripts are involved and they are important. An affirmation may be &#8220;whatever anyone asks me today, the answer is &#8216;Yes&#8217;&#8221;. If someone asks you if you have bananas for sale, your answer will be &#8220;Yes, we have no bananas.&#8221; If someone asks you if that dog across the street is yours, your answer will be &#8220;That is not my dog but you have a reason for asking. I would like to know why you ask.&#8221; Then smile. (That&#8217;s not a &#8216;Yes&#8217; answer, but it is a positive answer). This is how affirmations are put to work.</p>
<p>5) Does self-hypnosis work?  Absolutely. Self hypnosis has definitely changed my life &#8212; for the better. I&#8217;m am always amazed that even when things are not tip-top &#8212; and maybe especially when things are not tip-top &#8212; my self hypnosis brings me to a better place every time. Self hypnosis keeps me on target for a solution to whatever my problem of the moment may be. I am better at work, more help to my family and most of all, I feel a lot better about me. Try it. You won&#8217;t be disappointed.</p>
<p>Hypnosis is a state of mind that is natural and highly focused. By creating a sense of relaxation, self hypnosis is a valuable tool to anyone who desires more than they currently have from their life.</p>

<p>Nobody can say for sure when hypnosis started.  But historians seem to agree that his has been used for more than a thousand years.  Remember witch doctors or spiritual priests entering into a trance talking to the supernatural and the spirits in order to save people from diseases or misfortune.</p>
<p>Ancient Egyptians has been using hypnosis to relieve pain and cure diseases. They would have healing temples which are called Temples of Sleep.  Those who are sick are given suggestions while induced to sleep.  This suggestions are to direct their mind that they would be healed of their illnesses.  Ancient Egyptians, aside from healing through sleep, has also used hypnosis to endure prolonged physical pain.  They used this as we use anaesthesia right now. </p>
<p>Hundreds of years later, in 1765, Franz Anton Mesmer introduced animal magnetism.  He stated that man could influence a magnetic fluid which could help in the healing process.  His thought became an influential school.  There were salons were he would apply magnets in people’s afflicted body parts.</p>
<p>After a few years, Le Marquis de Puysegur, believed the magnetic power the Mesmer is talking abour is actually present in his own mind and transferred through fingers to the person sick.  He discovered that you could induce a very deep sleep where the person who is sleeping will follow the command.  This is referred to as the perfect crisis or the profound sleep. </p>
<p>During this time hypnosis was referred to as mesmerism.  In 1837, Dr. John Elliotson cited that hypnosis can be associated to voluntary and involuntary movement which he claims to be linked to the mesmerism theory.  Dr Elliotson claimed that there is a doctor in India who has been amputating legs with the aid of hypnosis.  The doctor saving lives if India is named Dr. James Esdail.  And upon on his departure from India, it was said that he able to perform 300 operations and 19 of them is amputation. </p>
<p>Dr. James Baird saw a French man named La Fontaine in his mesmerism demonstration.  After experiencing this, he put it into practice and were able to put the patients into a deep sleep that would make them accept any medical suggestion made by the doctors.</p>
<p>Actually during World War I, hypnosis was used by the Germans to make sure that their soldiers were able to recover from shell- shock.  This would enable them to return immediately to their trenches. </p>
<p>Hypnosis started to gain interest among practitioners in the medical field.  Sigmund Freud was said to be the firs proponent of hypnotherapy.  Originally, Freud started studying hypnotherapy in late 1890s until he shifted into a new practice or method on 1905.  Freud stated that suggestion can be made in an attempt make treatment speedy. </p>
<p>Dr. Milton Erickson is one of the few people who greatly influenced hypnotherapists.  He has accomplished a lot of books and research about hypnotherapy.  Dr.  Erickson’s study became the foundation of NLP or the neuro-linguistic programming which became widely used in trading and marketing. </p>
<p>Currently, hypnotherapy are used on only on adults but also with children.  Hypnosis for children were proven to have resolved some issues concerning behaviour and health disorders. Hypnotherapy was formally endorsed by the British Medical Association in 1955.  Three years after, the American Medical Association did the same.  They endorsed hypnotherapy as a form of treatment.</p>

<p>Okay, here is the secret self-hypnosis technique that you can use to decrease the problems in your life and assist in your positive bio-feedback strategy. Now, let me take you through this step-by-step. Here is the procedure. Make sure you do it exactly as outlined:r<br /> 
<li><strong>Face North</strong></li>
<li><strong>Close Your Eyes</strong></li>
<li><strong>Visualize a small particle going around your head vertically or horizontally (your head being the nucleus and the particles being electrons).</strong></li>
