The relationship between exercise and cancer is becoming clearer with each new study that is done. Research continues to show how exercise can play a vital role in cancer prevention and control and lead to the growing number of cancer survivors.
I don’t think you can meet a person today who hasn’t themselves or know someone who has battled or is battling this disease. I myself have lost my mom to breast cancer and my
father had his cancerous kidney removed before his passing. One in three women and one in two men will be diagnosed with having cancer at some time in their life. More than a million new cases of cancer are diagnosed each year according to the American Cancer Society. Fortunately, the number of cancer survivors has more than tripled to nearly 12 million during the past 30 years. The more exercise and cancer is studied, the more these numbers will rise.
