Anorexia Nervosa Treatment – National Eating Disorders Awareness Week

Anorexia nervosa treatment can increase the quality of your life. The week of Feb 20-26, 2011 is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. If you have been thinking about anorexia nervosa treatment, now might be a great time to start. The degree of care required varies from patient to patient and would depend on many factors, including:

•Medical status
•Weight
•Motivation to recover
•Mental Health
•Geographical location
•The extent of control that the patient has over their symptoms
•Environmental stressors

Anorexia Treatment – What’s Involved?

One of the primary factors that affects treatment of anorexia would be addressing and stabilizing any serious health conditions. In some instances, hospitalization may be necessary in order to ensure that the patient is in no immediate medical danger. Outpatient treatment becomes an option for those who can manage recovery on an outpatient basis.

Autism Awareness Activities – The Importance Of Play Activities In Coping With The Symptoms Of Autism

Autism Awareness Activities

The impairment of social interaction and communication skills in children investing in autism symptoms gets more apparent over play activities. While the lack of social interaction and speech can sometimes be missed in the home environment (not all children vocalize and interact at the same floor at similar age), adverse interaction among further children of a similar age is a considerable indicator of potential autism. Due to the lack of social awareness, the autistic child may appear to prefer playing alone. The tendency of the autistic to focus on an object, for example, may be apparent in a simple activity like playing with a toy truck. Autism Awareness Activities

National Yoga Month Promotes Awareness Of Yoga’s Mental And Physical Benefits

It might seem like a strange phrase to most, but to fans of yoga, “NaYoMo” is a sweet sound.

NaYoMo, for those who are unfamiliar, is short National Yoga Month which occurs every September and celebrates the practice of yoga, making it a perfect occasion for those interested in yoga to discover the benefits of the practice.

The special month includes participation from yoga practitioners and studios throughout U.S. and Canada. The month-long event features more than 2000 free classes and lectures designed to bring awareness to the mental and physical health benefits of yoga to people who, for some one reason or another, have not had the opportunity to visit a yoga studio and enjoy a lesson.

But those longtime yoga students need not feel there’s nothing for them in National Yoga Month.  They will find a number of sessions and discussions that address their more advanced needs and level of expertise.
